Conmedia: Building the future culture-driven workplace
Growth is exciting — until busywork takes over. In two months I helped Conmedia’s partner group implement effectivity tools and reclaim time lost on low-value work to prepare for the company's exciting future

“We didn't just get new tools — we got something new we started using right away, helping us become more effective and conscious of our time.”

Effective work habits during high growth
Background
Quick read — Growth is exciting until busywork takes over. In eight weeks, I helped Conmedia's partner group swap noise for focus, win back deep‑work hours, and set simple routines that grow with the company.
Conmedia is a young and fast-growing marketing agency with clients across the globe — fueled by a strong culture, an ambitious management team, and an exciting future ahead.
They've developed unique software to serve both large domestic and international companies, giving them an edge in a highly competitive industry. A big part of their success comes from their people. Conmedia is passionate about working with talented young professionals and runs a graduate program that trains and develops new employees straight out of university.
After speaking with co-founder Marco about the challenges of modern work — from constant distractions to losing focus during rapid expansion — it was clear that my work with effectiveness tools could help them maintain their culture and performance.

The solution
I ran a two-month course with Conmedia's management and partner team, combining:
- Individual 1:1 sessions to work on each leader's personal effectiveness and leadership habits.
- Team workshops to align on shared ways of working and introduce company-wide effectiveness tools.
Here's how it looked 👇

4 changes to their 'way of working'
- Everyone started using a new unique to-do list strategy (creating two separate to-do lists and introducing a daily key task)
- Implemented the 'Perfect Week' framework, figuring out the most effective work schedule for each leader.
- Set up a meeting strategy, defining how they should have meetings (time of day, max. number of people, agenda, etc.)
- Defined clear communication guidelines to reduce interruptions and speed up collaboration (email, Slack, etc.)
By the end of the two months, Conmedia had a documented and agreed way of working — one that protects their culture, supports their growth, and ensures everyone knows how to focus on what matters most.

“I especially valued the open 1:1 conversations. They allowed us to get to know each other even better, strengthened our relationships, and gave us a clearer shared direction. That's already noticeable in our daily work.”
The results
Within weeks, the changes were visible. Meetings became shorter and more purposeful, managers had more time for strategic work, and decisions were made faster with less back-and-forth.
By the end of the program, Conmedia's leadership team had:
- A shared playbook for how work gets done, ensuring consistency across teams.
- Stronger focus on high-value work, with low-value tasks systematically reduced or automated.
- Faster onboarding for new hires, thanks to documented guidelines and workflows.
Perhaps most importantly, the culture that fueled Conmedia's early growth is now protected and scalable — giving them the confidence to push into their next growth phase without losing what makes them unique.
